Photos and snap pictures of el Mariposario de Mayaguez As of December 2005, the Juan A Rivera Zoo in Mayaguez officially opened for the public el ''mariposario''. As nature lovers, we headed on a weekday (preferably) camaras on hand. The experince is an unforgettable one. A great place for the whole family especially for kids. Soon to be opened is a crawlers excibit with Spiders, Scorpions and others. El Mariposario is open from Wednesday to Sunday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. Next time you visit Mayaguez, stop by a pay a visit to these wonderful and marvelous creatures. We came accross this Iguana, they are more and more becoming part of our local fauna
