Photos and snap pictures of Pueblo of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico
The town of Mayagüez was
founded in 1760 by Faustino Martínez de Matos, Juan de Silva
and Juan de Aponte. This town derives its name from a local Taino
Indian Chief Mayagez, which means "place of great waters".
Mayagüez is also known as "La Sultana del Oeste".
