Photos and snap pictures of Pueblo of Carolina, Puerto Rico

Pictures of this town coming soon.

Carolina was founded in 1857 by Lorenzo Vizcarrondo. Its original name was Trujillo Bajo. It is known that Don Gaspar Martínez donated the land to establish the municipality, but requested that the town be called Carolina in honor of his daughter Carolina de San Juan.

Carolina is also known as "La Tierra de Gigantes", because of one of its inhabitants Don Felipe Birriel Fernández, Felipe was seven foot, eleven inches tall.

If you have photos of Carolina and want to share them with us, send us an e-mail
