Embraced by
Puerto Ricans and attached to our culture. We are here presenting a
well deserved portrait to this Puerto Rican icon. 3 Coquies were
captured to make this portrait a reality, it took 3 painstaking
hours. None of them were harmed. |

El Castillo
del Morro-Half a century in pictures:
El Castillo
(Castle) de San Felipe del Morro was declared a World Heritage elite
by the United Nations in 1933. El Morro is Puerto Rico's best known
fortress. Over two million visitors a year explore this construction marvel. |

Jájome:
Similar to El
Yunque, Jájome is a whole different world. The barrio of
Jájome located in, it has an average temperature ranging from
55 to 65º
(F) all year round. It is also the place of the famous
''Casa de
descanso del gobernador''. |

La ''frutera'':
''Las
fruteras'' (fruit stands) are a common sight all over the island. So
colorful and filled with all those local fruits and veggies. We
stopped on this one in el barrio Arenas de Cidra after realizing and
deciding to capture some of its colors. |

El Flamboyán Season
Upon numerous requests, we have
decided to upload a picture of el Flamboyán (Flaming Tree).
The picture shown here was taken in Rincón last year. This is
the peak season of this beautiful tree. Click on the thumbnail for a

The Botanical Garden (El
Jardin Botanico)
It is located in the UPR, the
National Botanical Garden of Puerto Rico is affiliated with the UPR
University of Puerto Rico.
It has a beautiful collection of
palms, heliconias and Orchids. |

El Castillo de
San Cristobal is the largest fortification ever built by the Spanish
in the New World. It was declared a World Heritage site in 1983. This
site invites you to explore this massive fortification... |

San Germán was the second city founded by the Spaniards in in
our island. The original village was founded in 1511; San
Germán is also known as "La Ciudad de las Lomas".

la villa del capitan Correa, Arecibo was settled in 1556, and founded
